Watch the Copenhagen Derby in 360°

International / Play of the Week / April 20, 2016

Sunday was a crazy day in the Danish Superliga. FC Copenhagen (København) sits atop the Superliga while their cross-town rivals, Brøndby IF are in fifth. With both teams fighting near the top, this always-tense Copenhagen Derby was poised to be all the sweeter.

And talking about sweet, how does watching a match like you’re at the stadium sound? Sweeeeet.

The footage put together at this derby follows the lead up to the game, and I have to say it’s a must-watch. You can feel the passion and the intensity pulsing through the crowd like electricity as both sets of fans get ready for their respective sides to clash on the field; I got goosebumps and I don’t even support these teams!

It made me wonder how I would feel if it was the USMNT playing Mexico. Again, goosebumps. Leagues that are looking to embrace technology and increase fan access to the game may be interested in mirroring this technique to give their fans a pulsating view of the matchday lead up. Looking at you, MLS.
